The 2019 UCI Road World Championships will be held in Yorkshire from Sunday 22nd September to Sunday 29th September.

On Saturday, 21 September, the first ever UCI sanctioned international para-cycling event will take place before the championships.

The championships have been held in Britain only on three occasions, the most recent at Goodwood in 1982.

Some 1,400 runners are expected to compete in 90 countries and the action will be broadcast to a television audience of more than 250 million people.

When are the championships?

Saturday, September 21st – Para-cycling Internationals

Sunday 22nd September – Mixed Time Trial Team Relay

Monday, September 23 – Individual junior time trial, individual men's time trial

Tuesday, September 24 – Men's Under-23 Time Trial, Elite Women's Time Trial

Wednesday, September 25 – Individual Time Trial Elite Men

Thursday, September 26 – Men's Junior Road Race

Friday, September 27 – Junior Women's Road Race, U23 Men's Road Race

Saturday, September 28 – Elite Women's Road Race

Sunday, September 29 – Elite Men's Road Race

Where are the routes?

The races will begin at various locations in North Yorkshire, West Yorkshire and Humberside.

All races will end at Harrogate, where the medal ceremonies will take place on stage in the Harrogate Fan Zone.

What entertainment will be there?

The Fan Zone in Harrogate is a free space where people can watch every race live on giant screens.

Each medal ceremony will take place on the main stage and food, beverage and merchandise stands will be on hand.

Music fans will also be treated to some high level acts throughout the week.

How can I get to the Harrogate Fan Zone?

The Harrogate fan area is located on The Stray, near the finish line.

By train – The Fan Zone is located 10 minutes walk from Harrogate Station. Just follow the signs to the Fan Zone or ask for advice from one of the volunteers from the Yorkshire team.

By Bus – The Fan Zone is a 10-minute walk from Harrogate Bus Station. Just follow the signs to the Fan Zone or ask for advice from one of the Yorkshire team volunteers.

By bike – There will be secure bike parking * located next to the Fan Zone, near Otley Road. Bicycle parking is available on a first-come, first-served basis. Spectators must bring their own locks as they will not be provided. Bicycles will not be allowed in the Fan Zone.

* Please note that all bicycles are left at the risk of the spectator.

By car – Spectator parking is available for booking here. Parking is limited so it is advisable to book in advance. The car parks are located within walking distance of the Fan Zone and the racing circuit.
