A man is in critical condition in the hospital after being stabbed in East London.

Police were called at Turner Street, Whitechapel, at 2:05 pm Saturday, following reports that men were fighting.

A man was found wounded with a knife and taken to hospital in critical condition, police said.

Two men suspected of attempted murder were arrested at the scene and arrested.

Scotland Yard said that a crime scene had been set up on Turner Street.

It happened when two teenagers were stabbed to death just hours apart in the capital on Thursday.

Baptista Adjei, 15, of North Woolwich, was attacked after or after getting off a stopped bus near the Stratford Mall.

Police were called to the incident on Broadway in Stratford, East London shortly after 3 pm.

Baptista was found with "serious injuries" and his death was pronounced on the scene at 3:49 pm.

Police said that a 15-year-old boy who had gone to the East London Police Station had been arrested for murder.

Five hours later, at 20:21, officers were called to the Brandon Estate in Camberwell, South London, where they found an 18-year-old man wounded with a knife.

He died an hour later, said the Met.
