A man who is "heavier than a sumo wrestler" and was so fat he got stuck in the football turnpike loses 25 STONE

An MAN that weighed 42 rocks and was so thick that it got stuck in football through hubs has lost an incredible 25 stones.

Dan Derie, 31, from Derby, said he "tilted the scales six years ago to kick a sumo wrestling match" when he decided to change his life.

He now weighs 17 stones after changing his grotesque diet, exercising five times a week, and putting on a stomach sleeve that removed two-thirds of his abdomen.

Dan said that he felt "much happier" now and was able to walk his dog without breathing difficulties after five minutes.

He could not even get through the hubs when he went to Derby County FC.

Dan told Derbyshire Live, "Eating the wrong stuff, not an exercise, working behind a desk, it was a combination of things that caused the weight to increase.

"I got lazy and drank heavily on evenings four times a week, so one night ago I drank a bottle of rum because I felt I needed it to give me the self-confidence, the size I needed would have."

"Dizziness as a sumo wrestler"

The 31-year-old said he would devour 15 pints plus shots and hunters before he went to take away.

"It was a vicious circle," he said. "I go to work and then directly to the pub. It was also a bit of depression, I ordered to go, so I did not have to go out.

"I was heavier than a sumo wrestler and did not have a healthy lifestyle."

Dan said he was inspired to reduce balloon weight following the birth of his now-six-year-old niece Olivia and his five-year-old nephew Riley.

He said, "My niece and nephew are born, godparents for my best friend's little girl, these things put it in the right perspective and it woke me up to do something about it."

EXERCISES FIVE TIMES ONE WEEK

Dan had a gastric occlusion in 2014 that removed two-thirds of his abdomen.

He then joined a boxing academy and lost weight five times a week. He also had to set up a strict meal plan.

As a result, the constant snacks, carbonated drinks, alcohol and greasy processes were taken out of his diet.

Dans has now reduced to 17 pounds and can buy clothes in stores for the first time.

"Life is getting much better and easier," he said. "I am generally much happier with myself."
