The special bus’Barcelona Christmas Tour‘will tour from this Friday, November 27, streets and emblematic buildings of the city with lights and Christmas decorations, reports the City Council in a statement.
The double-decker bus will circulate four days a week through areas such as Passeig de Gràcia, Barcelona Cathedral, Casa Batlló, La Pedrera, La Meridiana, Parallel and Via Laietana, among other places.
The tour will start at 18.00 at the tourist bus stop in Plaça Catalunya in Barcelona, and during the journey, passengers will be able to listen to explanations on Catalan Christmas traditions, in Spanish and Catalan.
City Hall launched this initiative in 2019 and it reissues it this year after the “success” of the pilot test: more than 2,100 people got on the Barcelona Christmas Tour -90%, local public-, mainly using advance ticket purchase and prior reservation.
As a novelty, and to prevent Covid-19 infections, this year all users must wear a mask and cleaning hands with hydroalcoholic gel will be mandatory when entering and leaving the bus.
El Barcelona Christmas Tour will circulate until December 27 from Thursday to Friday, except on Christmas Eve and Christmas.
