Higher education in the Dominican Republic continues to take firm steps regarding the training of competent professionals within and outside the country.
One example is the agreement that the Ibero-American University (Unibe) has just signed with the University of Ankara, in the Republic of Turkey. The academic collaboration agreement is the result of the efforts of the Dominican embassy in Turkey, headed by Ambassador Elvis Alam Lora, where both academic institutions identified common interests for the development of bilateral exchanges of students, teachers and researchers.
The agreement was signed and signed by Dr. Julio A. Castaños Guzmán, and Dr. Necdet ünüvar, rectors of both houses of higher studies respectively.
Through this agreement, both universities agreed to share knowledge and academic experiences to find solutions to scientific problems of mutual interest, as well as the promotion of student exchange in the available fields. Similarly, books, publications and materials suitable for education and training in research topics will be exchanged, in addition to the development of joint projects and scientific meetings.
For its part, the Unibe Dean of International Affairs promotes virtual exchange activities, as well as intercultural activities. With this agreement, it will be possible to promote, through the internationalization of the curriculum, Turkish culture and serve as a link for future projects in different fields. Likewise, students from Turkey will be able to get to know the Dominican culture and participate in mobility programs in the country.
