After “Half a Year” comes “A Fistful of Words”: Trailer for the bestseller film adaptation on Netflix – Cinema News

With “A Handful of Words” Netflix filmed the romance novel of the same name by “A Whole Half a Year” author Jojo Moyes – with “Rogue One” star Felicity Jones, among others. A few weeks before the start in July 2021 there is now the first trailer.

One day, the ambitious journalist Ellie (Felicity Jones) stumbled upon some old letters from a couple in love from the 1960s. Ellie is so intrigued by the story of the unhappily married Jennifer (Shailene Woodley) who begins a passionate affair with the charming Anthony (Callum Turner) that she becomes obsessed with figuring out what happened to the couple.

Did the two find a happy ending? Or can Ellie help a failed love affair so many years later?

Two years after she caused a stir with the opening episode of the celebrated HBO series “Euphoria”, director Augustine Frizzell has now got a besteller novel for her new film “A Handful of Words” (original title: “The Last Letter From Your Lover”) -Author Jojo Moyes, on whose work the Emilia Clarke romance “A Whole Half a Year” was based.

There is plenty of prominent support in front of the camera: Felicity Jones, well-known from “Rogue One: A Star Wars Story” and “The Amazing Spider-Man 2” and Oscar-nominated for “The Discovery of Infinity”, walks here as a love story journalist by Shailene Woodley (“The Destiny”, “Fate Is A Lousy Traitor”) and “Fantastic Beasts” star Callum Turner to the bottom. What she finds out can be seen on Netflix in the summer:
