The fact that characters from the animated series “Star Wars” created by Dave Filoni have gone live-action thanks to “The Mandalorian” has increasingly excited fans of the saga with adding more of them to the series already announced for Disney +. One of them is none other than Ezra Bridger.
The fate of the main character in “Rebels” was left open after the end of the animated series, and now, a new rumor suggests that Lucasfilm would have an actor in the sights to play him.
Ezra Bridger al live-action
The Youtube show Kessel Run Transmissions ensures that Mena Massoud, an actor known for starring in the live-action “Aladdin”, is the main candidate to play the character in the already announced series centered on Ahsoka Tano, which will inevitably have it to the center of the story.
Recall that Ezra Bridger was installed as a Padawan of one of the surviving Jedi of the purge generated with Order 66 and later became a key figure during the emergence of the Rebel Alliance, a story that we saw in the 4 seasons of “Star Wars : Rebels “.
The final from the animated series left his fate in doubt, as he apparently sacrificed himself to end Admiral Thrawn’s plans. However, “Rebels” concluded with Ahsoka Tano and Sabine Wren determined to track down his whereabouts. And for this reason, the exjedi is in search of Thrawn in “The Mandalorian”.
So far this is just a rumor. However, we must remember that Filoni is the creator and screenwriter of the series starring Rosario Dawson. Furthermore, the reporting of a spotlight centered on Ezra Bridger is almost taken for granted for the series.
The future of “Star Wars” on Disney +
Regarding live-action series, the only release scheduled for 2021 is “The Book of Boba Fett” for December. In 2022 they should premiere “Andor”, a series centered on the character Diego Luna in “Rogue One: a Star Wars Story”; “Obi-Wan Kenobi”, in which we will see Ewan McGregor in the role again, including the return and Hayden Christensen as Anakin and set 10 years after “Revenge of the Sith”.
