Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order received a performance update for the current console systems from Microsoft and Sony yesterday. Gamers on Xbox Series and Playstation 5 can look forward to increased frame rates, more pixels and higher-resolution render effects. All platforms can now play the action game from 2019 at 60 frames per second thanks to backward compatibility (the Xbox Series X only in performance mode), but there are differences:
Xbox Series S
Xbox Series X (Performance-Modus)
- 60 fps with a dynamic resolution between 1080p and 1440p
Xbox Series X (Performance Mode Disabled)
- Post-processing effects are now at 4K level
- Dynamic resolution between 1512p and 2160p (4K)
Playstation 5
- 60 fps with a fixed resolution of 1200p
- Post-processing effects at 1440p level
