One of the Duchess of Cambridge's most popular fashion designers was axed by scooter thieves in Chelsea, West London.
Amanda Wakeley, whose creations are also worn by the Duchess of Sussex, checked her car's flat tires, as threatened by thieves, according to her partner and financial PR consultant Hugh Morrison.
He said they fled the 57-year-old's Rolex watch, leaving them shocked but unharmed.
It took place Wednesday morning in the Chelsea Harbor district of the capital.
"The police were amazing, but say this happens five to six times a day, every day [Kensington and Chelsea] and asked us to share it, "Mr. Morrison said in a social media post.
"There were many witnesses and the police feel that the perpetrators are caught.
"In the meantime, Amanda just wants to share her experiences and hopes everyone will stay safe."
The city police said a 28-year-old man had been arrested on suspicion of plotting to commit robbery.
"The police were called at around 9:30 am on Wednesday, November 13, to report a robbery on Ashburnham Road, SW10," the police said.
"The victim, a woman over the age of 50, was threatened by two men on a moped, one armed with an ax.
"Your watch was stolen during the incident, no reports of any injuries.
"A 28-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of plotting to commit robbery.
"The investigations into the circumstances continue."
Comedian last June Michael McIntyre had his watch stolen by hammer thieves as they waited to pick up his son from school.
