A tiny octopus has been found in a rock pool in Cornwall.

The fascinating animal was found at Castle Beach in Falmouth, on Tuesday (August 13).

It was found by children on the beach, before being filmed by The Rock Pool Project.

The group was set up two years ago when friends traveled by canoe to a rock pooling site in the county.

On their Facebook page, they wrote: "It's raining octopus at Castle Beach.

"We believe it to be a curled octopus."

Curled octopuses are named after the way they curl up their arms, which they use to catch their prey.
