“Another Michael Owen”, “Bargain” – Many NUFC fans react when the £ 350k-per-week star report emerges

There have been many bold transfer rumors associated with Newcastle United’s future takeover, but this latest report may be the icing on the cake for supporters.

According to the Marca, Real Madrid superstar Gareth Bale is a “top priority” for the new owners of the Magpies and since the stories have emerged further from the Daily Mail and FourFourTwo.

Gareth Bale for £ 53 million plus wages – yes or no?

Yes thanks!

No thanks!

No thanks!

It is claimed that the giants of the Northeast could offer the Welshman a way back to England for £ 53 million, offering him a salary similar to that in Madrid – around £ 350,000 a week after tax (Forbes via target).

Prior to this extraordinary transfer request, Newcastle had been linked to the likes of Kalidou Koulibaly, Nabil Fekir and Philippe Coutinho, so it’s just a sign of things that will happen once the acquisition has been officially confirmed, you would have thought.

The 30-year-old has struggled for game time since Zinedine Zidane’s return as manager, leading to the aforementioned report stating that he has been told to leave.
