Apple is testing its first foldable device reportedly

According to leaks, the foldable iPhone would be launched in September 2022.

The Apple company reportedly asked one of its Taiwanese suppliers to send it component samples of its future folding phone, reports the Chinese newspaper Economic Daily News, with reference to its sources in a company linked to the supply chain of the American corporation.

The company headed by Tim Cook is reportedly currently evaluating what type of display to use in the device: OLED or micro-LED. The first foldable Apple phones would launch in September 2022, the reports forecast.

Apple works on new iPhones with screens that repair themselves and will put an end to scratches

In 2016 Apple got a patent for a folding smartphone, which was updated last year. In addition, last July it obtained another patent for dual screen folding devices.

Meanwhile, in September a Chinese leaker assured that Apple is working “hard” on the technology that will allow it to place the front camera under the screen and get rid of the ‘notch’.
