Apple TV + revealed the premiere date of its new eight-episode original series, Losing Alice. Creator, writer, and director Sigal Avin’s neo-noir psychological thriller will make its world debut on Apple TV + on Friday, January 22 with the first three episodes, and new episodes will premiere weekly, every Friday.
Shrouded in mystery at every step Losing Alice is a neo-noir psychological thriller that follows a middle-aged director, Alice, and her growing obsession with a young screenwriter, Sophie, whose dark and troubled script seems more truth than fiction.
Using flashbacks and flash-forwards in a complex narrative that takes the viewer through the conscious and subconscious mind of its protagonist, the series follows Alice (played by Ayelet Zurer), a 48-year-old film director, who feels irrelevant since he started a family. After a brief encounter on the train, he becomes obsessed with Sophie (played by Lihi Kornowski), a seductive 24-year-old screenwriter, eventually giving up her moral integrity in order to achieve power, relevance and success. In addition to Ayelet Zurer, the series stars Lihi Kornowski, Gal Toren, Yossi Marshak, Shai Avivi, and Chelli Goldenberg.
Losing Alice will be available globally for the first time on Apple TV + in a new co-production agreement with Dori Media Productions of Israel in association with HOT.
