For the crime of violation of the Federal Law on Firearms and Explosives, the Attorney General’s Office (FGR) in its Jalisco delegation, initiated an investigation after the seizure of an arsenal, in the municipality of Teocaltiche.
It was elements of the National Guard who made the Federal Prosecutor aware that when carrying out motorized reconnaissance on the Mechoacanejo-El Rosario road section, belonging to the aforementioned demarcation, they located six abandoned vehicles which were on.
The federal troops, upon reviewing them, secured a long .308-millimeter caliber machine gun, a 7.62×39 caliber rifle known as “goat horn,” two bulletproof vests, two 5.56-millimeter firearms, a fragmentation hand grenade. and three riot grenades.
An AR-15 weapon, an assault rifle without a visible model or license plate, an MP15 rifle, a double-disc magazine, 56 magazines of various calibers and 1,409 cartridges of different calibers were also secured.
Therefore, the war material and vehicles were placed at the disposal of the Federal Public Ministry (MPF), who continues with the proceedings to establish which criminal group they belonged to.
