Arsenal forget Tyrick Mitchell

According to him Mirror , Tyrick Mitchell agreed a new contract with Crystal Palace amid the interest of their London rivals, Premier League Arsenal.

The Gunners were looking for a new left back in the January transfer market, and they also considered a move for Mitchell’s teammate, Patrick van Aanholt, as The Mirror .

Now, it seems likely that the Dutchman is the only left-back that could be snatched from Selhurst Park, as the 21-year-old has agreed to a new deal and it seems unlikely that he can leave any time soon.

Mitchell has shone for the Eagles so far this season, breaking into Roy Hodgson’s first team after a few appearances last season.

The former Brentford prospect has made 12 Premier League appearances for South Londoners this season.

In addition, his approach has attracted attention, making comparisons with another Palace academy graduate in Aaron Wan-Bissaka, as mentioned by the Mirror .

Like it shows WhoScored , Mitchell is averaging an impressive 3.6 tackles per game in England’s top flight this season.

The Crystal Palace number 27 also makes 2.6 punts per game.

Arsenal want a variant for Tierney

It would have been a good signing for Arsenal, but surely an expensive one as the Eagles wouldn’t want to lose it.

Mikel Arteta should target Van Aanholt, if he’s looking for a cheap endorsement for Kieran Tierney, who is the starting left-back and appears to be a vital piece in the team’s growth.

The Dutchman’s contract expires in June, and he has yet to write on new terms.

In that sense, it would surely be worthwhile for the Gunners to inquire about his situation as soon as possible, in case he renews before they can make contact.
