Arsenal midfielder Granit Xhaka is reported to be happy at the Emirates Stadium and unwilling to discuss that he could be transferred to Inter Milan.
The Gunners midfielder is back in the good books with Mikel Arteta after looking for a shoo-in to date Unai Emery. Indeed, The revitalized Swiss star has explained the role Arteta has played in his turnaround.
However, doubts about his long-term Arsenal were raised again this week when reports in Italy suggested he had been a target of Inter. According to il Corriere dello Sport, the The Serie A giants wanted Xhaka in a direct exchange with Christian Eriksen.
Eriksen left for North London last January when the Spurs’ efforts to tie him to a new deal failed. With time running into your contract Eriksen was allowed to join Inter for € 20 million.
The move to Serie A, however, has not worked out as planned. Eriksen has had trouble adjusting to the tactical demands of Antonio Conte. The Italian’s favorite 3-4-3 formation even appears to have stifled Eriksen’s game.
Without a goal or assist this season, Inter are now willing to let the player leave in January.
Still, a trade to Arsenal would be highly controversial given their ties to Spurs. Mind you, this expert clearly doesn’t care too much about your feelings..
As such, it seems like the conversation about a trade deal ends before it has even started.
That was after Calciomercato claimed that Xhaka had turned down the opportunity to move to the San Siro. Furthermore, the article claims that it would cost Inter to match the Swiss star’s € 8 million a year contract (£ 130,000 a week) at the Emirates Stadium.
Instead, the Italian website claims that Conte and Inter will be targeting a move for N’Golo Kante. However, any movement for the World Cup winner is unlikely until the summer.

Lukaku’s advice to Eriksen
Romelu Lukaku, meanwhile, has revealed that his Inter teammate Eriksen still does not speak Italian.
Lukaku switched from United to Inter last summer, before Eriksen made a similar move from Tottenham in January.
However, his luck since leaving the Premier League has been very different. Lukaku was Inter’s top scorer last season with 34 goals in all competitions, but Eriksen struggled to adapt.
However, Lukaku believes there is still a chance for Eriksen to prove his worth at Inter. However, there is a step you must take to adjust.
“Eriksen has all the qualities to become an elite player and I want to help him. But first, he has to learn Italian, ”Lukaku told Kanal 5.
“I immediately got used to a new reality, but it may take more time.
“With the language, he still has work to do. If you learned Italian, I’m sure everything will be easier for you.
“He could communicate better with everyone, teammates and coach, and would contribute more to the work of the whole team.”
