Arsenal will reportedly hear offers for Reiss Nelson this summer as Mikel Arteta looks to shed some of his fringe stars at the Emirates.
the 21 years has spent the entire current season on the sidelines of Arteta’s team. In fact, he has only played two games in the Premier League, both from the bench.
The attacker was reintroduced to the senior team by Unai Emery at the beginning of last season. That came after an impressive loan spell at Bundesliga Hoffenheim in 2018/19.
However, Nelson lost his place when Arteta took the reins in North london, and it looks like it will be sold this summer.
That’s according to CBS Sports, who claim Nelson exceeds the requirements. That’s it while Arteta has Bukayo Saka, Willian and Nicolas Pepe to call.
Arteta revealed earlier in the season that Nelson chose to stay and fight for a spot, rather than go out on loan.
“We ended up with a great squad at the end of the transfer market,” Arteta said.
“We had some plans in mind with Reiss. One of them was also sending him on loan to get more minutes for the competition that we have in advance.
“The reality is that he has been very good training. Want to stay here. He wants to fight for his place.

Arteta remains unconvinced
But it seems that Nelson, who is signed until 2023, has been unable to convince Arteta that he should play more.
The academy graduate has made eight appearances in all competitions this quarter and has a goal and attendance to his name.
Nelson’s cause has not been helped by knee and head injuries, but it seems like time is up at Arsenal.
