Last year, I sat down with my good friend Bruce @Springsteen for a long and meaningful conversation that touched on so much of what we’re all dealing with these days. I’m excited to share it with you over the next few weeks: https://t.co/sQACD08AWx pic.twitter.com/biMoxCLhAG

In ‘Renegades: Born In The USA’, made by Higher Ground, Obama’s producer, the couple will talk about music, their lives, the racial division in their country, politics and their love for the United States.
Along with the announcement was the launch of the first two installments of the series. In the first episode, titled ‘Outsiders: An unlikely friendship’, they recall how they met and exchange episodes from their childhood.
While Bruce admits that he doesn’t remember when or where they met, Barack points out that he is not “as cool” as the 71-year-old musician.
In the clip they posted on their social media, Springsteen says: “My father was silent most of the time. He was not communicative. I grew up thinking that my father was ashamed of his family.” Obama reverses: “My father left when I was two years old. I didn’t meet him until I was 10, when he visited us for a month. There was no way to connect with him. He was a stranger.”
‘Forsaken: Born in the USA’ consists of eight episodes that will be released over the next few weeks.
This is the second collaboration that the Obamas made with Spotify, Michelle Obama has her own content series, ‘Becoming’, which, according to CNN, was the most listened to in July and August of last year worldwide.
