The Barcelona board of directors headed by its president Carlos Alfaro Moreno, offered a press conference where some issues that have to do with the “Canarian” institution were clarified. One of the most important topics was dealing with the club’s debt with Uruguayan striker Ariel Nahuelpán.
“To be specific, the debt exceeds a million and a half dollars,” said Alfaro Moreno, at a press conference.
“The fundamental point is that when Nahuelpán left Barcelona, there is a payment agreement dated January 16, 2019 that was completely breached, there was even a non-compliance clause that increased the figure,” declared the president of Barcelona.
“We work to manage all the club’s debts, silently and without complaint, seeking to generate resources and not increase liabilities further,” said Xavier Salem, financial vice-president of Barcelona.
