In the next four years, reform and improvement works will be carried out, budgeted at 1,553,400 euros, which are assumed by the department and the city council in equal parts, the Barcelona Education Consortium has reported.
The Marillac school, which will become the Institut-Escola Sicilia, It has 286 students enrolled in the current academic year and an investment of 509,800 euros is planned to improve its facilities in the coming years.
The center was founded by the religious Ramon Balcells in 1906 as Social School Board of Workers to educate the daughters of the working class families of the Sagrada Familia neighborhood.
