The Sims 4 will receive a brand new patch with fundamental changes to the gameplay before the new Sims 4: Eco Lifestyle expansion pack.
Some features were revealed during the live streaming preview of Thursday’s expansion. Among other things, the June 4 Sims patch will include ladders, firefighters, repositories, a change to how bills and utilities work, the ability to sort Sim inventories by category, and free placement of windows and doors.
Invoices and utilities
The system will be revised in the Sims patch June 4. The system will be more complete and when players click on “Show bill information”, they will have a breakdown of all bills and utilities. Obviously, this means that if the bills are not honored, the Sims will be recovered.

More updates coming to The Sims 4 in the June patch
The stairs will also come in a free update, this was confirmed when the trailer for the new Eco Lifestyle expansion was released. The firefighters will also return and present themselves as NPCs when your Sims set fire.
A big change that comes to building mode is the ability for players to position windows and doors freely, without the constraints of these hooking onto a grid. Even the Gurus themselves appreciate the difference this will make for gameplay.
Sims patch date June 4th
The patch will be released on June 2, 2020, three days before the release of the new Sims 4 Eco Lifestyle expansion, according to Sim Guru Jill.
The patch arrives on June 2nd! The Sims 4 Eco Lifestyle Expansion will drop on June 5th.
