Becky Godden, the mourning father of the murder victim, said that the ITV drama about his death had "ruined his life".
John Godden claimed that the show, A Confession, was guilty of assassination of "character" because of the way he had been described as an indifferent father.
"ITV killed me … and killed Becky again," he told the Sunday Mirror.
"My life was ruined for that. ITV has a lot to answer. They should be quiet, ashamed.
The drama follows the death investigations of sex worker Becky, 21, and personal assistant Sian O 'Callaghan, 22, in the hands of the bad taxi driver Christopher Halliwell.
Becky was strangled and beheaded in 2003 by Halliwell who buried her body in a field in Gloucestershire.
He had become overjoyed after meeting him while he was a taxi driver in the hot Swindon neighborhood.
Becky had run away from her home and had become "disconnected" from her family after being hooked on heroin and sniffing aerosols.
Her family reported her disappearance only in 2007, four years after the murder, after her family had begun to worry about where she was.
But his assassination was only revealed in 2011, when Halliwell was arrested for Sian's disappearance.
After driving the police to where he threw Sian's body – and then charged with murder – he offered the detectives "another one".
He then took police officers to the place where he had buried Becky's headless body eight years earlier.
IT WILL BE 'ROTATING IN ITS GRAVE & # 39;
Becky's father, John, said that Becky would "turn over in her grave if she had seen the way I was treated".
He claims to have implored ITV not to broadcast scenes that made him look like an indifferent man. He also stated that he did not respect his wishes.
"When I saw the show, I was speechless in the way I was represented – even the way the actor was dressed did not look like me.
"I lost a girl in the most horrible way. Not showing compassion is disgusting. You do not do that to people in mourning. "
John exhaled his fury for being described as an improper father, who did nothing to find his missing daughter.
& # 39; CE ARE ONLY LIES & # 39;
He highlighted a scene where he said the family had been accused of confusing the research, insisting that "everything is a lie".
The broken-hearted father revealed that he had been abused on social media after being portrayed as an unselfish father and too afraid to leave home.
And he has never met the actor who played it in the drama, Christopher Fulford.
A spokesman for ITV said, "We listened to what John had to say and, as far as possible, changed some scenes to reflect his thoughts.
"We are convinced that what was described in the finished piece was both accurate and fair."
The six-part series, which attracted five million viewers when it aired in September, was based on a book written by Detective Superintendent Steve Fulcher, starring Martin Freeman.
Becky's mother, Karen Edwards, had a more positive reaction to the television series.

Previously, she had told The Sun how she felt like "holding Becky again" when she kissed the actress in the role of her murdered daughter.
In A Confession, Karen is interpreted by Imelda Staunton and states: "The drama was a welcome distraction for all members of our family.
She revealed that she had met Imelda three times – twice before shooting and once on the set.
