With the arrival of the winter storm, Monday, February 15, 2021, became the fourth largest snow event in Austin history at 6.4 inches at Camp Mabry. According to the National Weather Service, for exactly six days, or 144 hours, temperatures stayed at or below freezing.
Temperatures fell below 30 degrees on Friday, February 12, and held until Thursday, February 18 afternoon.
As usual in Texas, the winter conditions are gone and although a week ago the conditions were freezing, the sun came out again and the snow disappeared.
