The announcement of Diablo 2 Resurrected was arguably the highlight of BlizzConline 2021 that took place in mid-February, and will bring back a game considered by many to be one of the best of all time.
And while the game has 2021 as its release date, there is no exact date for its arrival yet. However, testing of the title has already started, specifically with PC players, who are already being invited by Blizzard to participate in the development stage in the “Alphas” of the game.
But from Blizzard they confirmed that they will not be the only ones to participate in the development of Diablo 2 Resurrected and with an official statement on its website, They gave console gamers hope. In it, they commented the following:
“Diablo II: Resurrected will be released on Windows PC, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X, and Xbox Series S. We will include console players in our future testing phases of the game.”
As we mentioned, the game will arrive this year as a complete remake of the classic title, with visual improvements and even the possibility of loading the games of the original game. Of course, cross-platform play will not be available at launch, but Blizzard does not rule out that the feature will be included post-launch.
