Brazil registers a record of 4,249 deaths from Covid-19 in the last 24 hours

Brazil registered a new record of deaths from Covid-19 in a single day on Thursday, with the notification of 4,249 deaths, bringing the total number of fatalities due to the disease in the country to 345,025, reported the Ministry of Health.

The 4,000 death mark in a 24-hour period had been verified for the first time on Tuesday, when 4,195 deaths were registered.

The ministry also reported 86,652 new cases of coronavirus in the country, for a total of confirmed infections in Brazil of 13,279,857

Brazil is the second country with the most deaths, accumulating more than 300,000 in just thirteen months, and more confirmed cases of the disease, after the United States, and It is currently facing the worst phase of the pandemic with public hospitals overwhelmed by the growth in revenues from covid-19.
