Brexit architect Cummings unravels as British PM’s top aide

Dominic Cummings, the controversial mastermind behind the 2016 campaign for Britain to leave the European Union, resigned on Friday as Prime Minister Boris Johnson’s first aide.

Cummings was reportedly due to leave by the end of the year, but was seen leaving Johnson’s Downing Street office at 10 on Friday carrying a cardboard box.

A government source confirmed that he would no longer be officially employed as of “mid-December.”
