ON The British cave diver, who helped save the Thai football team last year, had to be rescued after being bogged down in US caves during an expedition with a British crew.
Josh Bratchley did not return to the surface with the rest of a party after getting up from a cave in Jackson County, Tennessee, around 3:00 pm (9:00 pm BST) on Tuesday.
After several attempts to find him himself, his dive mates on Wednesday morning at 1 clock local time (7 clock BST) the rescue service.
Experienced divers were flown in from Arkansas and Florida, and a rescue dive was launched around 6:00 pm Wednesday night (midnight BST).
The authorities said he had been successfully rescued about an hour later after quietly waiting in an air bag. By this time he had been in the cave for 28 hours.
