Brittany was one of the champions of M&A operations last year. And this despite the health crisis which slowed down the national market. This is what emerges from the study on sales and acquisitions in the regions in 2020 carried out by In Extenso. The firm scrutinized 42 transactions in Brittany, an increase of 13% compared to the previous year. A situation that is far from surprising Jérôme Guéret, the director of Go Capital in Rennes, specializing in financial support for companies in the West.

Last year, Go Capital completed 39 operations, 19 in new investments and 20 in refinancing. “2021 will be even better”, says Jérôme Guéret. The buyers are often located very close, as for the Nantes-based Lacroix Group, a specialist in smart roads and traffic management which acquired last year the Rennes-based technology company EsoftThings (50 employees) recognized for its on-board software. .
