Everything Eredivisie will face Tottenham at the weekend ahead of the clash of the Ajax Champions League game, Netherlands champions.

Ajax should play against De Graafschap on Sunday, April 28, and Tottenham in the first leg of the Champions League semi-final on Tuesday, April 30.

The Dutch association, KNVB, said its decision to postpone the league games this weekend was met to allow Ajax two full days between matches.

"I can confirm this as a plan, and hopefully it will be finalized (on Friday) as we await the approval of the local authorities," said KNVB spokesman Jaap Paulsen to the Press Association Sport.

"Ajax will have to play two games in three days, and this is impossible because, according to the League's rules, a club must have two full days between games."

The deferred games, including Ajax vs. De Graafschap, will now be held on Wednesday, May 15, making it the last round of the Dutch Games.

The first round of Ajax's game against De Graafschap on the 26th or 27th of April was also ruled out as it collided with a major festival in Amsterdam, the King's Night and the King's Day celebrations and " insurmountable problems ".

"We had to change the schedule, and that was very difficult. We had no options left, "Paulsen said. He added that the decision was in no way made to give Ajax an advantage over Tottenham.

"In addition, in the interest of fair competition, we maintain that we insist, as long as possible, that all clubs act simultaneously over the last two matchdays."
