CHESHIRE, CT – More than 300 Connecticut student athletes, including eight from Cheshire, will continue their academic and sporting activities at one of the state's seven Division I universities this fall, based on plans provided by these institutions.

A total of 327 competitors have decided to stay close to home while participating in 13 Division I Fall Sports. Danbury, Glastonbury, Norwalk and Shelton each have 10 student athletes in the D-I service classes.

Following are breakdowns by university, county and sport with links to the homepages of the sports department of each school. Note: Several men's cross country and women's swimming, cross country, rowing, rugby and bowling rosters were not yet available until release.
