Christian Eriksen's agent has remained tight-lipped over a potential move to Real Madrid.

Mirror Sport revealed that Zinedine Zidane is targeting the Tottenham playmaker as part of a major buzz spree at the Bernabeu.

Zidane is a huge admirer of the 27-year-old, who will only have 12 months left on his contract this summer.

Spurs are battling to tie the Dane down to a new deal but they may have to cash in this summer, rather than risk losing it on a free.

Eriksen's agent Martin Schoots has refused to comment on Eriksen's future but insisted his focus on on-field matters.

"I do not want to add to the speculation around Christian's contract and football future." Christian is only focusing on football, he told Danish media outlet Ekstra Bladet.

"He has evolved from a world class into a world class player."

Really raided Spurs before Gareth Bale and Luka Modric and wants to look like that again for Eriksen.

They see him as someone who can pull the strings in midfield as a replacement for Modric, who turns 34 in September.

Reports in Spain suggest Mourinho had drawn up a four-man transfer shortlist with Eriksen and Tottenham's teammate Harry Kane featuring.
