ICeland's Christmas TV ad was banned because it's a recycled Greenpeace ad with a political message, the company admitted.

The animated short film Rang-tan was filmed earlier this year for environmental activists and shows the destruction of the rainforest by palm oil production and its devastating impact on the endangered orangutans.

Iceland, which had previously announced its intention to remove palm oil from its products, said the film fit in with its agenda, which resulted in the film being recycled as its 2018 "Christmas" commercial.
