Quito, 07 Apr (The Street) .- The first leg for the quarterfinals between Bayern and PSG was played at the Allianz Arena. In the revenge of the European giants, PSG took revenge and beat the locals with a score of 3-2.
Paris Saint Germain and Bayern Munich entered the field with an intense snow storm and a temperature of 1º centigrade.
Both combined came to the game with significant casualties. In the case of Bayern, it did not have the participation of Robben Lewandowki due to a knee injury. While, Marcos Verratti and Leandro Paredes were low at PSG due to coronavirus and suspension, respectively.
A game with low temperature, but with high intensity
Barely after the first three minutes, Kylian Mbappé raised the temperature of the game with the first conquest in the goal of Bayern.
The locals reacted with an offensive game and with constant attacks from Thomas Muller that did not materialize thanks to the work of Keylor Navas. In the 11th minute, the Parisian team scored again, however, the goal was not validated by an advanced position.
In the 28th minute, Marquinhos scored in Neuer’s goal, thanks to the cross he received from his compatriot Neymar. Minutes later, the PSG captain had to leave the field of play due to muscle discomfort. Ander Herrara entered the grass to replace Marquinhos.
Bayern strategist Hans-Dieter Flick also replaced Goretzka with Canadian Alphonso Davies.
The German club’s discount came in the 37th minute, after a header from Cameroonian striker Eric Choupo-Moting.
The first half of the game ended with a partial score 2-1 in favor of Paris Saint-Germain.
Second half full of emotions
The current champions of the Champions League returned to the game with strength and dominance. Manuel Neuer saved the local team from the Parisian attacks.
The draw for Bayern Munich came in the minute with a header from Muller and an assist from Joshua Kimmich. However, PSG’s response took shape in 68, after a personal move by Mbappé.
In the last ten minutes of the match, Ángel Di María and Neymar were replaced by Moise Kean and Rafinha.
After 90 minutes of the match, PSG won 3-2 against local Bayern Munich.

The Parisian team arrives with an advantage for the second leg. The European giants will meet again next Tuesday, April 13 at the Parc des Princes.
