The Ministry of Health reported, this Saturday, November 21, 7,049 new cases of coronavirus in Colombia. In the last 24 hours, 55,165 tests were processed, 26,493 are PCR and 28,672 antigens.
The report also notes that the number of deaths in the last 24 hours is 175. So then, the country reaches a total of 35,104 deaths since the virus reached the national territory.
Colombia records in total 1,240,493 cases of covid-19, of which 57,654 are active cases and 1,144,923 correspond to positive cases that have already overcome the disease.
Regarding the contagion of the covid-19 by cities and departments of the country, Bogotá and Antioquia are ahead, followed by Valle del Cauca.
There are 1,863 conglomerates in the country. The territories are: Amazonas, Antioquia, Arauca, Atlántico, Barranquilla, Bogotá, Boyacá, Bolívar, Caldas, Caquetá, Cartagena, Casanare, Cauca, Cesar, Chocó, Córdoba, Cundinamarca, Huila, La Guajira, Magdalena, Meta, Nariño, North from Santander, Putumayo, Quindío, Risaralda, San Andrés, Santa Marta, Santander, Sucre, Tolima, Valle, Vaupés, Vichada, Guaviare and Guainía.
Minsalud indicates that the prevention of the flu is the key in the rainy season
The Ministry of Health indicated this Saturday, November 21, that it is essential to maintain permanent hand washing, use the mask correctly and continue with physical distancing not only due to the current situation due to the emergency of covid-19 but also due to the season of rains influenced by the phenomenon of La Niña that can cause other acute respiratory infections (ARI) such as influenza, cold or common flu.
“According to the climate forecasts for the country that forecast an acute and strong rainy season derived from the La Niña Phenomenon, the Ministry of Health and Social Protection calls on the public to maintain the care already provided to face the covid- 19, given the possible effects and consequences on health, ”said Claudia Milena Cuéllar, deputy director of Communicable Diseases.
