Funcom has announced a new Conan game.

Conan Unconquered is a strategy game developed by Petroglyph, the studio behind Star Wars: Empire at War, Gray Goo and the recently announced remasters by Command & Conquer. It will be published in the second quarter of 2019.

Conan Undefeated is described as a "high-speed" strategy game in which you encounter enmities in ever increasing numbers and with increasing difficulty. To defend, you must build a fortress, set up walls and other defenses. You can also summon huge Avatar units.

It can be played as a single player or two player co-op, with each player working online to build a common fortress.

Here is the official blurb:

"Similar to games like" They Are Billions, "the enemy hordes will keep coming back to you, and how long you can withstand the invasion depends on your ability to build your stronghold and lead your army, and the gameplay is real-time but you can do it too You can pause at any time to give orders and start building new buildings, the battles will be bloody and ferocious, players will have to take care of everything from fires that rage through their fortress until to hearths that spread death and disease. "

You can unlock heroes like Conan himself, who have special abilities. Your army will initially consist of foot soldiers, but eventually you will get heavy cavalry, wizards, and other mighty troops. You need to train and hold your units so they grow and get paid.

For your fortress, you must manage resources such as food, gold, wood, and iron to drive your expansion. Among other things, you can build apartments, temples and barracks. Defensive options include oil boilers.

Funcom has already released Conan Exiles. Conan Unconquered is now released and is working on a single player Conan game, which will be released later.
