The continental welterweight champion of the World Boxing Association (WBA), the British Conor Benn, successfully defended his title, defeating, by unanimous decision in ten rounds, the German contender, Sebastián Formella, in the stellar hit this Saturday, at the SSE Arena in Wembley, London, England.
The son of the great British champion and two-time former world champion, Nigel Benn, contender Conor Benn advanced his record to 17-0, 11 KOs, after a dominant presentation, against a competitive German, but who never had enough to counteract the momentum of the Briton, who won comfortably, with points of 100-90, 99-99-91 and 99-92. Sebastián Formella went 22-2, 10 KOs.
In a special attraction of the same function, undefeated British heavyweight Fabio Wardley (10-0, 9 KOs), defeated Richard Lartey (14-4, 11 KOs) by knockout in the same second round.
Heavyweight Alen Babic (6-0, 6 KOs) defeated, by third round knockout, Tom Little (10-9, 3 KOs).
Middleweight Jez Smith (12-2-1, 5 KOs) defeated, by decision in six rounds, Ben Ridings (3-1, 0 KOs).
Liam Davies (8-0, 3 KOs) stopped Sean Cairns (7-3, 1 KO) in seven laps.
