ON According to the police, the County Lines gang recruited 40 children who were drugged at a secondary school.

The adolescents, some of them only 14, were supplied with medicines and kits, including bags and scales, to determine the doses of cocaine and cannabis they had sold to other children in the school.

The police, which shattered the ring this week in raids at dawn, said the network of 40 students, which accounted for one in 30 children in the 1,200-student school, had been recruited by a major dealer and two young lieutenants.

The main dealer was exposed after allegedly attempting to seduce 14-year-old girls into cocaine sex at the Kingsdown School in Swindon, Wiltshire.
