WINDSOR, ONT. – The Windsor-Essex County Healthcare Unit is reporting 98 new cases of COVID-19, with 96 positive cases associated with a farm that performed asymptotic tests last week.
“The health unit is working closely with the owners / operators of the farm to notify all individual cases and ensure the existence of isolation housing,” according to a WECHU statement.
WECHU staff are expected to be on site on Monday to conduct an assessment and follow-up in person.
There have been 1,492 cases, 863 cases resolved and 68 deaths so far in the region.
Acrodd Canada, there were 103,032 cases, including 8,516 deaths, 64% of people have now recovered.
“Laboratories across Canada have tested over 2,640,315 people for COVID-19 to date. Over the past week, an average of 38,000 people have been tested daily, with 1% positive tests,” said the Dr Theresa Tam, Canada’s chief public health officer in her statement for Sunday.
In Canada there have been 103,032 confirmed cases, 65,973 recoveries and 8,516 deaths reported to date.
