Cristiano Ronaldo suggested that Juventus take him to the club "to help do things they have never done before" after his hat-trick titles have sent them to their last eight Champions League games.
Ronaldo's threesome saw Juventus face a 2-0 aggregate defeat by Atletico Madrid on Tuesday night in Turin, scoring 3-2 on aggregate.
The five-time Champions League winner Ronaldo scored eight hat-tricks in the competition, along with Lionel Messi's competitor, and the Portuguese striker suggested that Juventus had brought him out for his big game from Real Madrid the summer since the Italians since 1996 looking for a first European Cup crown.
"That's why Juventus brought me here to do things they've never done before," said Ronaldo, now 34. "This is the mentality needed to win in the Champions League."
"I just do my job and am very happy tonight, it was a magical night, Atletico is always hard to handle, but we are strong and we have proven it.
"We wanted a special night, and that's exactly what it was for, not just for my goals, but for the entire team, which is the right attitude to play in the Champions League, so we have to be proud."
After a 2-0 defeat in the first leg, many Juventus had lost again in the competition, and defender Leonardo Bonucci said he had "apologized" for those who would be willing to celebrate another Juventus withdrawal in the Champions League.
"It's a great evening for all Juve people, many were ready to celebrate our defeat, I'm sorry for them," he said. "Juve always reacts on the pitch, we played with the right spirit and our fans were the 12th man today."
Juventus will discover its last eight opponents at the Friday draw in Nyon.
