Cumbria U15 players have won the Ampleforth Festival after winning all four group games to top the table with 60 points.

As each team lost two games a week and Friday failed, Cumbria was declared the winner after beating Gloucestershire on Thursday.

Three local players, Matthew Harrison (Whitehaven CC), Thomas Fox and Regan Jackson (Workington CC), delivered outstanding performances throughout the week, winning Cumbria their first ever title at the Ampleforth Festival.

Head coach Andrew Bryson said: "It was a fantastic week for players and parents. Having spent the last two seasons together, it was great to see the hard work pay off. "

The U15 were sponsored by Sally's Cottages.
