Istanbul, Turkey.- The Racing Point dominated a rainy qualifying for the Turkish Grand Prix: Sergio ‘Checo’ Pérez will start in third position, while Lance Stroll claimed the first pole of his career.
This is the best classification for ‘Checo’ since he started his Formula 1 career in 2011.
At the last opportunity, Lance Stroll displaced Checo with a time of 1’47 ″ 765, and Verstappen’s strong performance sent the tricolor to third place.

With a firm and fast step, the Canadian Stroll pressed in the last laps of qualifying to take pole in Istanbul.
The advantage that Red Bull gained in free practice and during Q1 and Q2 was not enough to get the first position, because in the final laps, the Racing Point drivers broke the forecasts to make it 1-3.
The rain, poor visibility and slippery asphalt delayed qualifying for more than half an hour, and forced a change in strategies.
While Lewis Hamilton and Valtteri Bottas battled at every lap, the battle between Red Bull and Racing Point for first position was just beginning.
Max Verstappen, who quickly adapted to the asphalt conditions, was unable to take advantage of his medium tires, and it was there that Mexican Sergio Pérez slipped into first position.
