Cowboys and cowgirls flock to the Flathead Valley for the Kesler Championship Rodeo stock and, of course, the nice paychecks for booking times and scores.
There are three nights of rodeo action – Thursday, Friday and Saturday – with each performance starting at 19:30. at the Flathead County Fairgrounds.
Ty Erickson, the top ox wrestler from Helena, is scheduled for the second appearance on Friday. He is currently leading the Professional Rodeo Cowboy Association ranking for $ 113,094.
Nick Guy of Sparta, Wisconsin finished in 14th place and Bridger Chambers out of Stevensville in 17th place. They will also be up on Friday.
Josh Clark from Belgrade, who is in 22nd place, is on the Thursday ticket.
Hank Hollenbeck from Molt, last year's winner, will be on Saturday.
The PRCA leader in bull riding, Sage Kimzey from Strong City, Oregon, is scheduled for Friday. He leads with $ 166,201 in the result and has pulled the Bull Excessive Force.
Trey Kimzey from Strong City, Oregon, is ninth and will race on Friday. He took on the bull Fidget Spinner.
Polson's Payton Fitzpatrick, who finished third at the Missoula Stampede earlier this month with a 83-point advantage, has a goose bump defeat on Thursday.
J.T. Moore of Alvin, Texas, will not be back to defend his title as a fair bull rider.

Cowboy # 3, Sterling Crawley of Stephenville, Texas, and Jacobs Crawley # 4 of Boerne, Texas are on Friday night. Jacobs Crawley won the fair rodeo a year ago with a 90-point win on Copper Cat, Sterling Crawley finishing third with an 85.
Chase Brooks of Deer Lodge, fifth in the Sattelbronc result, rides on Saturday.
The bareback field will be loaded with five cowboys in the top 13 on Friday. You are Richmond Champion of The Woodlands, Texas, fourth; Caleb Bennett of Corvallis, sixth; Steven Dent from Mullan, Nebraska, eighth; Tanner Aus of Granite Falls, Minnesota, 11 .; and Trenten Montero of Winnemucca, Nevada, 13th.
Jake Pratt from Ellenburg, Washington, will join a rope on Saturday. He is in 18th place. Jennifer Sharp of Richards, Texas, is in eighth place and will compete in Barrel Racing on Thursday.
Team Roping will feature Montana Talent with many well-known names such as Rich Carpenter and Chris Westphal, both from Kalispell, Caleb Guardipee and Dustin Bird, both from Cut Bank, Sam Levine from Wolf Creek, Shawn Bessette from Great Falls, Travis Tryan from Billings and Cody Tew from Belgrade, just to name a few. Bird, who will ride Sid Sidney from Cody, Wyoming on Friday, ranks 22nd in the standings.
