Dallas reported 2,183 cases and Tarrant had 1,368 infections

The advance of covid-19 in North Texas continues at a galloping pace, and a new record for infections was set on Saturday.

Dallas County reported 2,183 new cases and nine deaths.

Tarrant County reported 1,368 infections Saturday.

“Today we set another new record for the most positive covid cases in a single day at 2,183,” said Dallas County Judge Clay Jenkins. “During the week we had an average of 1,557 new positive cases of covid per day.”

Dallas reported 1,974 cases on Friday and accumulated 1,183 deaths since the start of the pandemic.
