Strictly Come Dancing was hit with more drama when Danny John-Jules reportedly received a final warning following a clash with dance partner Amy Dowden.

The dancing couple have formed a unified front in front of the cameras after receiving the lowest number of votes on Saturday, but Wednesday's showdown has been dreadful, reports The Sun.

The 58-year-old Red Dwarf actor is said to have kept Amy crying.

A source told the newspaper, "He gets very angry in the gym and he swears and yells at her."

They added, "Things were bubbling for a while, and Wednesday brought a climax. Amy is so patient and sweet. It's her dream to be on the show. Honestly, everyone at Strictly wants Danny to leave. "

However, Metro.co.uk knows that Danny is not in a final warning and has since apologized to Amy.

The pair was back in training on Wednesday before the live show on Saturday.

It's not the first time that the actor came under fire on the show when he broke out with today's celebrities last week and apparently made a hit on his co-stars when he claimed he was on a "different level".

In a candid interview with The Sun, he said: I worked with people like Norman Wisdom, Bernie Winters, Freddie "Parrot-Face" Davies and Vince Hill, and so on and so forth …

"They're stars, celebrities are an insult to these guys today, they can take part in two episodes of Love Island and become a celebrity."

Danny and Amy put on a united front and joined Zoe Ball on It Takes Two, where Danny thought about her performance sporadically and Zoe said, "I was devastated, I failed them all."

Amy revealed that the pair had not talked about the worst performance in the series and said, "We did not talk about it all week. We just wanted to focus on the samba. "

Metro.co.uk has contacted a representative for Danny John-Jules. Strictly Come Dancing declined comment when approached by Metro.co.uk.

Strictly Come Dancing continues at 7pm on BBC One.
