The singer Daniela Magún revealed the reasons why she did not communicate that she had tested positive for COVID-19, not only she but her children as well. And is that according to the singer, had suffered the disease just a few weeks ago.
The actress said that she was afraid of having to face the stigma that exists with people who declare themselves infected with COVID-19, so that led her to hide that she suffered from the disease, in addition to pointing out that she was very fortunate since she did not suffer much of the symptoms rather it was something very quiet with little annoyances. So he said in an interview for the show program First hand:
The truth was, I knew weird, I have no idea where I could get it, I don’t know if I infected my children or they infected me, but I consider myself very lucky because we were mild cases and well, in brotherhood with all the people we have suffered this
It was for this reason that she decided not to make public that she was ill, because she did not want to generate empathy or pity for your situation, and not to attract unnecessary attention:
I never wanted to share it so as not to generate this excess of empathy, or the ‘oh my poor thing’, to continue taking care of ourselves and not to lower our guard. I decided to warn until we had finished the quarantine because then people react horrible
The former member of Kabah said that she finds it surprising that we are in a risky situation and that there are people who are dedicated to judging and criticizing people who are infected. Given this, the singer asked her followers to twin and provide support to all who need it:
It is incredible in a pandemic we are all exposed, and we continue to judge, in the end the important thing is to twin, I had a lot of support from a mother of one of the friends of my children and my companions of the group
However, the actress is fully recovered and is ready to attend the traditional Kabah Halloween party and clarified that a special request was made so that no one comes dressed as COVID-19, since it is a very popular idea that has been gaining adherents these days. Daniela Magún revealed that the event will be on October 30 at the Bicentennial Park.
In fact, it was in the same program that the singer Federica Quijano, who is also part of the popular band, stated that it is forbidden to do a reference to the disease that has cost around 85 thousand deaths so far throughout the pandemic in Mexico.
Related to this, the group said that it does not plan to cancel that celebration since they already have prepared different raffles and prizes that they will have for their followers, However, they will require the public to use security measures to prevent them from getting COVID-19. This is what Federica Quijano said:
The mask has to be part of the costume, they have to include it as part of, and the truth, as a show of respect to all the people who have suffered that, it is forbidden to go dressed as COVID-19
Recently there has been an increase in artists who have tested positive for COVID-19, just yesterday it was announced that the Televisa host, Mauricio Barcelata, also tested positive for the disease. The same happened with actress Chantal Andere, who also tested positive for the disease.
