A man and a woman have the murder of William & # 39; Pat & # 39; McCormick denied.

Both defendants were remanded after appearing before a district judge in Newtownards.

The court heard that 26-year-old David Gill of Ballyglighorn Road in Comber had responded "not guilty" when the police charged him with murder. He requested no bail.

Lesley-Ann Dodds – Mr. Gill's fiancée – has been withdrawn from prosecution charges and replaced by a charge of aiding and abetting the murder of Mr. McCormick.

A bail request on behalf of 21-year-old Mountcollyer Avenue in Belfast, which also denies involvement in the murder, was rejected by Judge Rosalie Prytherch.

Both were remanded to appear before the same court by video link on August 2.
