In the District of Columbia, you can trade a “shot” for a beer.
That is the new strategy of the government of the mayor of Muriel Bowser so that its residents and workers can be inoculated against COVID-19.
It is something that many residents welcome with open arms.
“To relax in this heat, yes, because I would,” said Esmeralda Perdomo, a District resident. “If they give me a beer, I’ll get the vaccine right now here next door wherever.”
The initiative will be taking place in The Reach area at the Kennedy Center on Thursday, May 6, from 4 pm to 8 pm
Once you receive the Johnson & Johnson vaccine, you can get your drink from Solace Brewing Company.
To participate you must be over 21 years old and no prior appointment is required.
