One night for a result

It's a beautiful evening here in the Midlands and it's time for a beautiful performance of the Bluebirds.

The performances have improved, albeit very steadily, since the 3-0 win at Reading a few weeks ago and it seems to be time for Cardiff to heat up the heat.

Derby, Middlesbrough and Hull are all big clubs with a long history, but they all had a difficult start to the season. If Neil Warnock's side is to move forward in the promotion billing, this series of games must be targeted.

The team selection of the manager will be interesting tonight. Leandro Bacuna is the first question mark that returned to the UK yesterday after an international break. The next doubt is Junior Hoilett, who had problems outside the court this week and may not be there.

But Nathaniel Mendez-Laing should be fit enough to qualify for the selection, so his addition will be a big plus. Josh Murphy also conceded a goal against Fulham.

Of course, Robert Glatzel needs that first goal and how happy he would get that monkey off his back tonight – and what a night would be to do it.

However, they feel that a result under the lights of Pride Park has the potential to really get things going.
