Dermot O’Leary reveals the name of the newborn son

Dermot O’Leary has revealed his son’s name.

The 47-year-old television presenter recently announced that he and the wife of television producer Dee Koppang have had their first child.

He has now told his listeners on BBC Radio 2 that their baby’s name is Kasper.

O’Leary said he was going to play the Elbow One Day Like This track.

“My son came into the world 10 days ago accompanied by … Guy Garvey’s Elbow,” he said of the song.

“So forgive this moment of brief self-indulgence as we play the song that accompanied it.

“This is Kasper for you with a K – my wife is very insistent on this!” Joke.

“Kasper Koppang O’Leary welcome to the world.”

Announcing that he became a parent last month, the television host released a snapshot of a onesie with the words Koppang O’Leary Productions. ”

He wrote: “Welcome to the world, little Koppang O’Leary … We are happy to announce that we have had a baby!”

The X Factor host announced in February that the couple were expecting their first child together after nearly eight years of marriage.
