He influencer de fitness Dmitriy Stuzhuk, who thought that SARS-CoV-2 did not exist, died of complications after contracting the virus on a trip to Turkey.
The 33-year-old man sought to promote sports and healthy living on his Instagram account where more than 1 million people follow him. But in this same one he also shared that he did not believe in the disease. It wasn’t until he got sick that he realized that the virus is a real threat.
After being infected and realizing his mistake, the man used his social account last Wednesday to admit his mistake and tell his experience with the disease.
“As everyone knows from the stories, I am sick with coronavirus. Today, after returning home, for the first time there was enthusiasm for at least writing something. I want to share how I got sick and warn everyone: I also thought there was no COVID, and all this is relative. Until i got sick”Admitted the father of three.
According to his publication, the man began to notice some symptoms on the second day of his trip to Turkey. And, when he returned to Ukraine, he decided to go to the doctor and have several tests, including the one for COVID-19.
“I woke up in the middle of the night because my neck was swollen and I was having trouble breathing. At the same time, my stomach hurt a little. The next day, a cough started to appear, but there was no temperature. There were also no particular symptoms of the diseaseSo I thought they could be consequences after playing sports, changing the climate and nutrition, and also sleeping with the air conditioning on ”, he said.
The influencer then decided to stay in a hospital for a few days, but did not feel completely comfortable because, according to Dmitriy, there was no food, no toilet paper. However, the doctors revealed that he would be able to continue his treatment at home, so he was discharged.
“I have decided that it will be more convenient and comfortable for me to be in remote care at home, where I have all the conditions for normal treatment. In the end, I can always turn to the right services. That and at home, as they say, and the walls heal. My status is stable”, Ended what would be his last publication.
But despite the good news, things quickly deteriorated within hours of returning home. According to his ex-wife, Sofia Stuzhuk, the disease began to affect his heart and Dmitriy was unconscious and serious.

Through a longer message, the influencer said goodbye to the father of her children and although she stressed that they were no longer together, she explained that she will always be grateful for the time in their relationship and the children he gave her.
“Yes, we did not have a good relationship. Yes, there were many problems. But this relationship gave us so much. We have lived and experienced a lot with you. You were there in pain and joy… I will be grateful to you for the rest of my life for our three beautiful children, ”shared Sofia in Russian.
Sofía added that although they were no longer a couple, the pain was not diminishing. However, she insisted that he now protect both her and her children.
